To create a great user experience, the Smart Config technology –aone-step and one-time process to connect a WiFi-enabled devicetothe home wireless network. A first step in utilizing BT2100 inaWi-Fi enabled application is to configure BT2100 to a user'sWi-Finetwork. This requires information on the AP, or SSID name,and thesecurity passcode when WEP/WPA/WPA2 is enabled. Consideringthatembedded Wi-Fi applications will generally lack userinterfacessuch as keypads or touchscreens, this process can becomplexwithout the use of advanced I/O. The device used toconfigure(smartphone, tablet, or PC) stays connected to the user'shomenetwork during the configuration process.
